The core of Tommy Bro's Dixieland Jazz Band consists four musicians whose credentials are exhaustive. Here's a little bit about what each member brings to the band.

Tom Brozene  trumpet, drums
The leader of this fabulous band, Tom has been in the music business for over 20 years. A trumpet player second to none, Tom has recorded over 15 albums with top names in traditional and big band jazz. Tom has performed with such notables as Rosemary Clooney, The Johnny Lampson Orchestra, Royal Society Jazz Orchestra, the Starlight Orchestra, Johnny Gill's California Sunshine Boys, Ted Shafer's Jelly Roll Jazz Band, The Churchill Street Jazz Band, and many others. He has performed in prestigious jazz festivals such as Edinbourough Jazz Festival, the Monterey Jazz Festival, the St. Louis Ragtime Festival, the Sacramento Dixieland Jubilee, and countless others. Tom is truly a seasoned veteran of jazz. You can contact Tom via e-mail at: tom@tommybro.com.

Howard Miyata  trombone, tuba, vocals
Howard is a true all-star in the world of Dixieland jazz. His first job was in the jazz band at Marriott's Great America in Santa Clara, California, then he went on to play with such popular bands as the Royal Society Jazz Orchestra, the Monterey Jazz Band, and he's currently playing with the world renown High Sierra Dixieland Jazz Band. You can contact Howard via e-mail at: boneman@garlic.com.

Rick Siverson  bass sax, alto sax, cornet, tuba, vocals
Rick is probably the most versatile member of the group, a true musician's musician. Rick can play a sweet solo on alto saxophone, pick up his cornet and let out a hot chorus or two, then finish up with a thumping bass line on tuba. He has played with just about every popular traditional jazz band in the San Francisco Bay Area including Turk Murphy, the Royal Society Jazz Orchestra, the Churchill Street Jazz Band, and many others. Recently, Rick has been doing guest appearances with the Varsity Ramblers out of Chicago, Illinois. You can contact Rick via e-mail at: siverson@garlic.com.

Bill Armstrong  banjo, guitar, vocals
The senior member of the group, Bill has been a jazz educator to many of the Bay Area's top young musicians. One of Bill's most memorable moments was when he played banjo with Turk Murphy at his renowned Carnegie Hall Concert. Bill also formed the Churchill Street Jazz band in 1978, which went on to become one of the most popular bands on the Dixieland Festival circuit. Bill was voted "Jazz Musician Of The Year" in 1996 by the Santa Rosa Jazz Society. You can contact Bill via e-mail at: billarmstrong@earthlink.net.
